Princess Magogo Stadium: Named after a true Zulu Princess
The historic Princess Magogo Stadium is a Great place to visit when in the INK area. Other than being the home ground of ABSA Premier Soccer League giants, Golden Arrows F.C, the stadium which was named after Zulu Princess, Magogo, has a rich political history as during the day of fighting the apartheid regime, it used to host political rallies of resistance by the now disbanded United Democratic Front (UDF), a front organization for the now ruling African National Congress (ANC) which was banned back then.
Princess Magogo Stadium was used as a training ground during the 2010 FIFA World Cup after being renovated in 2009 and brought up to FIFA standards. It is is a multi-purpose stadium in KwaMashu used for a number of things including events.
