Arts & Culture: from the Zulu Kingdom
The Zulu culture is a famous one worldwide. South Africans living abroad always say that whenever they mention that they are from South Africa, everyone assumes that they are from the dominant Zulu tribe. This is the largest tribe in the country whose language and culture is practiced by over 20 million people – including non-Zulus.
To showcase this culture and unique artwork to our tourists, Wushwini Arts centre and Ekhaya Multi Arts Centre is there. With live performances from bands made up of well-trained community members, visit these places to see special Zulu dance moves and culture.
Also your visit to Durban, KwaZulu Natal “The Zulu kingdom” is not complete until you buy some traditional souvenirs like unique and authentic Zulu beads and earrings made by locals (mainly entrepreneurial women).
